#UConnCTHistoryDay

UConn Early College Experience co-hosting the 2023 Mansfield/ Storrs Regional Connecticut History Day with the UConn Department of History. Connecticut History Day is a program for students in grades 6-12 that encourages exploration of local, state, national, and world history. After selecting a historical topic that relates to an annual theme, students conduct extensive research using libraries, archives, museums, and oral history interviews. Winners will move to the state contest and then the National History Day at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Connecticut History Day is an affiliate program of National History Day (NHD)®.  It is led by the Connecticut Public Affairs Network (CPAN) with support from the Connecticut State Department of Education, Connecticut Council for the Social Studies, the Connecticut League of History Organizations, Connecticut Explored Magazine, and ConnecticutHistory.org.

Six regional contests will be held Saturdays in March and the State Contest will be on May 6, 2023.
