More than 500 teachers have attended a Summer Institute in Storrs since 1982, and thousands more teachers have been impacted by the work of those 500+ teachers over the last three and a half decades! Come join your colleagues this summer for an evening of writing, music, and memories.
The recently-retired Lynn Bloom, who as Aetna Chair of Writing has been involved with the CWP-Storrs since 1986, will join us.

The UConn Avery Point Associated Student Government presents its 6th Annual Cardboard Boat Race
Congratulations to the 2016 winners Ellington High School!
The 2016 race was held on Thursday, September 22, 2016, 10:00-2:00.
- Your cardboard vessel must float with at least one person aboard.
- Only cardboard and duct tape may be used.
- Kayak paddles may be used during the race. Paddles will be provided at the event.
Don't want to build a boat? Well, every race needs an audience! Come out, watch the race, and cheer on your favorite boat(s). This year is sure to be an exciting time.
