FERPA
UConn ECE students are included in the University’s Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policy. Under the FERPA policy, students have a right to expect that information in their education records will be kept confidential and will be disclosed only with their permission or under provisions of the law. For purposes of FERPA, the University considers all students independent (regardless of their age). Education records (including course grades) will not be provided to parents without the prior written consent of the student.
