Roger Travis, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in Classics.
Specializing in Greek tragedy, Latin poetry, literary theory
and Comparative Literature, Dr. Travis received his doctorate
from the University of California, Berkeley in 1996. Since
that time he has had a guest lecturing position at UC Berkeley,
until he came to UConn in 1997.
Course Offerings
CAMS 282 - Topics in Advanced Latin
- Either semester, alternate years. Three credits. Prerequisite:
CLAS 124, or three or more years of Latin in high school.

certification?
- A: The minimum degree requirement for teachers wishing
to teach Early College Experience classics courses is usually
a Master's of Arts in Classics or a related field. A candidate
with a Master's in Education is usually not considered for
college-level teaching in classics.
